Sad news Saturday night when we found out Whitney Houston (RIP) had passed. I was in Philly and crashed at mi amigo ELVIS SUAREZ's place after getting working it over at Rumor and woke up with this idea. I'm sure we're not the only ones that are gonna mix these two chart topping records together but I have to say I'm really pleased with the finished product. On January 31st DJ Solomon was killed in a tragic car accident while touring in Thailand. I never got to meet him but we were both residents at Dusk in Atlantic City for a while and everyone that talked about him only had great things to say. He left some CDs there so I grabbed one and was an instant fan.

Life is short and it's really fragile, I hope your not taking it for granted.

Please consider helping out his fiance and family and make a donation to the Solomon and Nicole Fund (click the link to donate). 100% of the money earned goes to help the family out in this trying time, and hopefully right now money issues are the last thing that have to cross their minds.

After doing a little research I'm pretty sure this is the last mixtape that he released...

I've been giving the music on my laptop a serious overhaul, erasing, re-crating and lots and lots of edits. So here's a first of a new series I'm calling "House Party Cuts" It's old school jams from (but not limited to) the 80s and 90s, songs you forgot you knew the words to chopped, beefed up, sliced and diced with quick mixing, party rockin' and maximum efficiency in mind. Im not super big into Dubstep, usually only play a couple tracks in my sets and hardly ever listen to it when I'm going out or at home. That said one thing I really do enjoy hearing is the Luvstep mixes from Philly DJs Dirty South Joe and Flufftronix. Its more on the progressive side of the genre with vocals and pretty sounding synths and less ear piercing bass and zombie dancing. Put it on when your coming home with a sexy hipster chick and see what happens.

Occupy Wall Street at Washington Square Oct 15 2011

Great seeing people come together peacefully for these Occupy protests in NYC and Philly. Things definitely need to change. Im not pro-socialism or anything but it just seems after being in Europe for a while, these countries have more rights as citizens such as healthcare and free education. I'm not really into politics but too many talented, competent people in my circles are struggling to make the ends meets so something has to change. This Keith Olberman video from right before the occupy protests started really got my attention and made me want to be more involved in the whole thing.

I've been crushin' in the studio this week going through my music, editing and re-organizing things for the American market, so expect more regular updates and tracks in the upcoming weeks. Besides that just getting out there meeting and reconnecting with people this week. For the first time in my career I'm seriously considering a manager/booking agent type of person to represent me, if anybody out there knows somebody good in NYC drop a line.

A couple months ago I started learning to salsa. Our friend who taught us was throwing a grande festival in Barca featuring two living legends: Ruben Blades and Chuchu Valdez. It was one of my favorite nights so far of the summer and possibly ever. Good news is all I had to do was walk to the Pharmacy 2 mins away from my apartment and tell the pharmacist what the problem was and she gave me antibiotics for what would equal 3 dollars, pretty sweet. Una semana mas...

One more week...

Going back to Barcelona this upcoming Monday. It's been a helluva time back here in Philly, great seeing all my peoples [Sat1, Elvis, Royale, Manik, Venu, Nema, Jackson, Panther, DigiDave, Zack, Bruce... shit too many to list] and rocking the clubs [G Lounge, Voyeur, Whisper, Dusk, Foundation Room, Recess, Zen, Level 2.. .too many again].

Had a great talk one of these guys the other night after a show and he got me motivated to get posting more regular. So thanks to that anonymous motivator if you dig what goes on in this space.

I've been travelling around the Northeast (on trains for the most part because of I love how much work I get done on them and they just really seem to relax me) and during that time I've finished up about 100 new edits in the past month. I'll be releasing them as well as some of the tracks people have been sending over the next couple weeks and I'm also once again working on a redesign of the site, so keep your peepers peeled and lets keep this thing movin'...

Just got a major fuck you from 4shared and my account is now BANNED.

Don't know how or why but most of the music on this site was hosted there meaning when you click the links to download music its going to tell you it's invalid.

Not sure if I'll be re-loading all the old posts but if theres a few things your looking for let me know with an email or tweet and I'll get em to you until I figure out the next step.

If anybody has any ideas on where to host then speak up now. I dont like mediafire much because you can't preview and I like to know how many downloads each track gets so zippyshare is out too.

My last Dj set in the states at least for a while is going down at the Foundation Room this Saturday. Its the club in the House of Blues at the Showboat hotel and casino (Atlantic City). My EZ Money brother from another and newly signed to Strictly Rhythm artist Elvis Suarez will be warmin it up and the good people from Velvet Elite will partyin all night (JJ WHAT UP!).

Also finished up a few edits while taking breaks from packin/ movin/sellin off all my possessions.....
