Mixtape Monday: Doc Adam, Deejay Dario, and DJ Zimmie

DOC ADAM - Live At Continental Fire Co.

Doc Adam cut his teeth in Michigan, and is now a near-legendary nightlife staple in Portland.  Many DJ's bill themselves as open-format, but few of them actually know what it means.  Doc Adam certainly knows, perhaps better than most.  This live-set recording is phenomenal.  Listen to this, and adjust your understanding of 'Party-Rocking' accordingly.  Don't forget to take notes.

DEEJAY DARIO-I WORK OUT!!

Deejay Dario calls himself 'The Funky Latino'.  Listen to this mix, and you'll understand why.  Hi-energy tribal and Latin-tinged house music is interlaced with tasteful remixes of pop and mainstream house anthems. It's groovy, high-energy, and downright sweaty.  Go through his soundcloud if you have a moment, his stuff is killer.

DJ ZIMMIE - TAN LINES

This mix is perfect for those sunny afternoon or early evening orange sunsets.  With secret synthpop and (nu)disco heaters laced throughout, this mix is engaging, fun, and is bursting with 'feel-good' vibes.  It's on my Ipod, and it deserves a home on yours, too.

[Let's just get this over with...say it with me: "DJ ZIMMIE, WHAT?"]

FOLLOW: @DJZIMMIE and be sure to check out his #ExtraCredit Podcast series, they're rather interesting!
