If you've been following my posts on the blog (or my mixes/edits/shows!) you might have reached the conclusion that I love indie-dance, nu-disco, and synthpop. Because of this, I (like to believe) I have a discerning ear for the genre. Anyone can spend 20 minutes on SoundCloud and put together a crate with several indie-pop go-to's retouched by the likes of Fred Falke, Gigamesh, Quinten909, Treasure Fingers, Breakbot or the Fat Rat, etc. Luckily, this mix isn't made by your average DJ trying to illustrate their 'hipness'- it's a finely curated mix by two of Ohio's finest, Simo and !dentity.
Presenting a cohesive and groovy mix, Simo and !dentity dig deep on this one, bringing to light some really funky, soulful remixes from across the disco-house spectrum. From head-nodding infectious pop courtesy of The Knocks to the mellow, rich sounds of Chris Malinchak and indie-disco stalwarts / LCD Soundsystem contemporaries the Juan Maclean, this mix emanates 'feel good vibes' while maintaining its depth, and perspective.

2000Down founder and all-around cool guy Isaac Jordan has been holding down a Saturday residency at one of Philly's top nightlife destinations, Rumor (it won the 'best nightclub' category in the most recent Philly Nightlife Awards) for quite some time now. I haven't had the pleasure of experiencing such posh nightlife firsthand, but I've seen more than my fair share of celebrity cameos in 'grams from Isaac's "Automatic Saturdays @ Rumor" to infer that the homie stay's killin' em.
While he's often on the road between NYC and Philly, when we do get to chat we discuss the merits of organic produce, nerd out about documentaries, and brainstorm ideas for the blog. It's a pleasure to work with one of the most humble and creative cats in the game. This mix is a testament to his talent, and continued success.
There's not much else I can say aside from this: this mix was recorded live, and it's excellent.
