Label Spotlight: SECLUSIASIS

Starkey and Dev79’s Seclusiasis label has been putting out a smörgåsbord of electronic music since  2001. This small but hearfelt outfit describes their mission as "...presenting a unique view of bleeding edge urban electronic sounds... Seclusiasis is all about filling that gap between the generic blah music scene and outright left-field self indulgence."

[Editor's note: Peep this dope "PHILLY" mix the seclusiasis label heads did for XLR8R back in 2009, still bangs. Bass heavy.]

The labels has released music for a wide variety of regional and international players in the global club and bass music scene including thing from dubstep to hip hop to electro-pop and more. Some of the acclaimed music they’ve released includes work by artists DNAEBEATS, Raffertie, BD1982, Knight Riderz, Rusko, NastyNasty, Murderbot, Slugabed and the popular Street Bass Anthems series.

:STREET BASS ANTHEMS:

Starting in 2006, the Street Bass Anthems compilation series was forging ground in the crossover of bass music and hip-hop long before ‘trap’ was a fad of the moment. The Seclusiasis camp are excited that rap hypbrid EDM is all the rage, but at the same time maintain their own lane with diverse and unique approach to the intermingling.
Volume 6 of the series has works from vanguard producers around the globe, a collection of 19 scorching heaters primed to ignite club speakers straight through the summer. From Milan’s Aquadrop to London’s Sway to Edmonton’s Knight Riderz to the team ups of Spoek Mathambo & Cerebral Vortex and Taz & Akka (Taz Buckfaster and Akkachar), Street Bass Anthems 6 is the soundtrack of the international Street Bass movement from an array of producers and MCs smashing it up.
